LA PCD LOUNGE SCRAPPED (No Comments so far)
LATimes.com 11.7.08- The much-hyped Pussycat Dolls Lounge at Bryan Ogden’s Apple will never see the light of day (or night). Instead, Robin Antin’s new crop of dancers is taking over the revamped Viper Room every weekend beginning Nov. 28 for a yearlong run.
The Pussycat Dolls Lounge was conceived as a place where fans of the chart-topping girl band could see dancers perform the group’s MTV-ready choreography in an intimate setting. Prior to the show’s public debut, the real Pussycat Dolls will kick things off at a special invite-only, post-American Music Awards show November 23, also at the Viper Room.
Representatives for the Viper Room say Nicole Scherzinger & company will stop by the Sunset Strip club as special guests when they are in town, but the new Pussycat Dolls Lounge will mainly serve as a place where Dolls’ founder, choreographer Robin Antin, shows off her new dancers, chosen from hundreds of hopefuls at a North Hollywood audition earlier this year.
With the Pussycat Dolls Lounge no longer opening in the building, Apple is using the extra space to expand its current restaurant & lounge. The larger Apple has already been open for a few weeks, & will be open as usual tonight.
All of this is in addition to the Las Vegas Pussycat Dolls Lounge inside Caesar’s Palace. More details on the way about what this means for the Viper Room’s weekend music lineup.

Occupation: Dancer best known for starring on MTV’s “Dancelife.” She says she’ll be hosting an MTV dance show soon, too.

I was actually the “Bathtub Girl” at the Vegas Pussycat club in 2005.
Who’s your favorite Pussycat Doll?
Nicole’s talented, Jessica is a real crowd pleaser. I like them all.
If you get hired, which celebrity guest would you most want to dance with?
Probably Carmen Electra.
What did you do to prepare for today’s audition?
I workout everyday and keep my body maintained. My body is my temple.
When it comes to boobs, do you prefer fake or real?
Real, but with a lot of padding.

NEW PUSSYCAT DOLLS WANTED
mtv.co.uk 7.18.08- Superstar choreographer Robin Antin launches search for girls to dance in new PCD Lounge
It’s been 13 years since a dance troupe called The Pussycat Dolls were put together by choreographer Robin Antin.
Since then the PCD ‘brand’ has evolved out of sight, spawning a multi platinum-selling girl group, several clothing lines & a resident live show at the Pussycat Doll Lounge in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
& it doesn’t stop there… today Antin launches a search for the Los Angeles Pussycat Dolls, selecting talented (i.e. HOT) singers & dancers to dance in the new West Hollywood Pussycat Dolls Lounge– opening in late August.
Pretty standard job description really: applicants must be able to use ‘retractable swings’, hang from ‘cascading chandeliers’ & be able to set a ‘seductive vibe’.
Past celebrity cameos have included Pamela Anderson, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears & Audrina Partridge.
So we’re thinking it’s only a matter of time before our favorite LA resident Victoria Beckham dons the hot pants & dives into the giant champagne glass on the dance floor…
